Day 1: Atlanta to Athens
- Meet up with the group at the airport in Athens, Greece
- Spend your first night in Greece at the footsteps of the world-famous Parthenon!
Day 2: Athens
- Tour the Parthenon and Acropolis
- Sit atop the Aereopagus and learn about the teachings of St. Paul to the Athenian elders (Acts 17)
- Eat gyros and enjoy the Athens night life
Day 3: Athens to Piraeus
- Tour the first modern Olympic Stadium
- Explore the hills of Athens
- Spend your first night aboard the boat
Day 4: Piraeus to Cape Sounion
- Depart for the first full day of sailing!
- Students take turns at the helm sailing down to Cape Sounion
- Anchor at the bottom of the Cape’s 200 ft. cliffs
- Climb the cliffs to visit the Temple of Poseidon
Day 5: Cape Sounion to Hydra
- Up-anchor and sail across the Saronic Gulf to Hydra
- Hike the tallest peak in the Saronic Gulf
- Explore the car-less streets of the island (mules are the main mode of transport)
Day 6: Hydra to Dokos to Spetses
- Snorkel in the beautiful waters off of nearby Dokos
- Cook-out on the beaches of Spetses
Day 7: Spetses to Poros
- A big day of sailing!
- You’ll be rewarded with a relaxing afternoon at the awesome beaches of Poros and a night out on the town
Day 8: Poros
- Set out on your own and explore the island. You may…
- Check out the Temple of Poseidon
- Tour the popular lemon groves
- Return to the beaches and maybe even dare to parasail
Day 9: Poros to Old Epidaurus
- We’re up early this morning for the sail over to Old Epidaurus
- Tour Epidaurus’ ancient theater – one of the most famous archeological sites in all of Greece!
Day 10: Old Epidaurus to Aegina
- Crew day! The crew handles all responsibilities of the boat today: navigation, sailing, de-docking and docking
- Free time to exlpore the island
Day 11: Aegina to Corinth
- Sail through the Corinth Canal which began to be constructed in the 7th century BC
- Arrive in the evening at Ancient Corinth – the site of one of the earliest Christian communities
- Sleep under the same stars as the Apostle Paul did he was there
Day 12: Ancient Corinth
- Tour Ancient Corinth
- Hike up to the Acropolis and look out at the amazing view from the Temple of Athena
Day 13: Corinth to Delphi
- Sail across the Gulf of Corinth to the resort town of Galaxidi
- Say farewell to the boat
- Have a night of shopping and dining in the mountain villages
- Spend the last full day of the trip at one of the world’s premier ancient archeological sites
- Visit the Oracle at Delphi, the Temple of Apollo, the ancient stadium, the theater, and more!
- Return to Athens and enjoy your last night in Greece back at the footsteps of the Parthenon
Day 15: Athens to Atlanta
- Bid farewell to your newfound friends and the country you’ve called your home for 15 days!
