Background & General Description

SAIL is the Investment Advisor for the &Green Fund ( The Fund currently has more than USD 125 million of capital committed, with an investor base of both public and private institutional contributors. The Norwegian government and Unilever Group are its anchor contributors.

We are passionate about our work, and we are offering an opportunity to a small number of graduates to join us for an internship that will inspire the candidates to share in our passion and link their academic studies to our investment work.

You will, depending on your background, have exposure to a wide variety of sustainability, supply chain, conservation matters and/or investment and credit risk tasks, gaining valuable experience working in a globally-focused investment environment.  

Key Insights

  • Under the guidance of a senior team member, gain insight on sustainability, client relationship management, investment-related research

  • Work alongside the investment team in the set-up and implementation of landscape protection plans, company level MRV systems to track environmental and social impact, and/or investment monitoring and Fund reporting.

  • Conduct research on new ‘blue sky’ investment opportunities under the guidance of senior management staff.

Eligibility criteria, knowledge & experience

  • Strong academic performance, completed Bachelor degree in a relevant subject

  • Structured and analytical thinking, with ability to work independently on research assignments.

  • Excellent command of Excel, with financial modelling experience.

  • Familiarity of key sustainability concepts and issues for global commodity supply chains.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Reference from senior academic staff including a description of requirements for the internship to count towards your University coursework.

You will be expected to formulate your own learning project and learning objectives that link to your academic work in the first month of your internship. Please include a maximum 300 words proposal for a project that you think might be relevant for you and SAIL’s scope of work.
